Dear Members,

Please be aware that a former member of our club passed earlier this week.

James Tighe, the skipper of “Gale Force” was a member until roughly 2009. He lived in Long Beach.

His son Terrence called to communicate the news and to let you know that services will be held tonight from 5 to 9 PM at:

Jordan Funeral Home

302 Long Beach Rd.

Island Park, NY

I am sure each of us will say a prayer and hoist a toast to his memory.

Thank you Terrence for you note.

  1. So sad to hear about Jimmy. We always had a good time Sailing together and I have a long lasting memory of him because when his boat sunk I obtained his self tailing winches from sailors choice. I bought them and I didn’t know that they were Jimmy’s I’m happy to have them. If anyone can find out his home address please post it or send it to me because I will not be able to make the wake.
