Hi All!
Here's what's happening this week:
As you know, we have rescheduled the LITLC fundraiser for this Saturday, from 12-5 @ The Buoy Bar. We need all hands on deck as many regular volunteers will be out of town! Please show up to lend a hand and more importantly support this very worthwhile event!
The annual raft-up has also been rescheduled to this Sunday. Low tide at Jones Inlet isn't until after midnight, so let's meet at 5pm at our regular spot near the Coast Guard Station. Outward Bound can be the center boat.  Please let us know you'll be there!

Pink Race Donations

The weather looks great for the Pink Race on Saturday.  Bobby will be sending out info on times and course soon.
We need the names of the boats that will be racing along with your female crew/captain ASAP.
To clarify, please submit your entry fee, donations, and money for hats to PLYC via Venmo or Zelle (516-967-6900), PayPal (Pointlookoutyc) or you can pay by cash or check on Saturday. Hats will be available at the marina.
We're hoping to make this a great event for a great cause!

The New Pink Race

The 2022 PLYC Pink Race is Saturday, July 9th. 
Our goal is to have fun while raising funds for a local organization that supports female empowerment.  This year, we have chosen The Safe Center LI *

We hope to raise money to support this cause through the following:

All boats entering the race will pay a $20 entrance fee.

We will be selling Pink hats the day before and day of the race for $25.

Members may also donate any amount they choose by bringing cash or a check the day of the race or sending via PayPal, Venmo or Zelle.  (Please note on payment Pink Race entry fee, Pink Race donation, and/or Pink Hat)

All boats MUST have at least one female aboard working as captain, crew, or helmsperson in order to be eligible to win.

Dress in pink and decorate your boats with pink streamers, etc to show your support for Girl Power 

All proceeds will be donated directly to The Safe Center LI

To protect, assist and empower victims of family violence and sexual assault while challenging and changing social systems that tolerate and perpetuate abuse and to provide a fast and easy path to resources that assist in saving and changing the lives of the victims of domestic or dating abuse, child abuse, and rape and sexual assault.

First Day/ Second Day Hikes

Hi all!  At our last Zoom meeting, we discussed going on an organized First Day Hike New Year's Day. The weather looks iffy for Friday, but Saturday looks good!

Some of us are planning to go on the Lantern Walk at Connetquot State Park Saturday evening 7-9 pm.  If you want to join us,  here is the info:

Lanterns will be provided or bring your own.  
Cost is $4 per person (cash)
