Ahoy PLYC!

Ready everyone for another great weekend!

Hope everyone has recovered from our PLYC very happy fun Dark and Stormy party last weekend with some great sunny sailing. We had old hats from way back when and a great pot luck. Huge thank you to Social Commodores for making it happen.

This weekend we have a full schedule starting off tonight, Friday night with our very first Captain Ron outdoor movie night at pergola. So bring your chairs, snacks and of course your beverages. Vice Commodore Paul will be setting up for a 9pm showing.

Saturday we have our Annual Krazy Kayak races. Who will take the title this year! Bono will be bringing the winning magnum of bubbles. Everyone be at the dock by 12:30 sharp.

Sunday we have the DRINKY Dinghy clam bake at the double dock AA beach. All licensed clammers and dinghy Captains be ready to leave the dock at 11:00am … PLYC time 😉😜

The membership meeting has been pushed to Saturday August 26, 2023 at 7 pm at the pergola. Thai years theme will be Greek dancing lesson from our very own Mende. We shall be also doing some Greek BBQ pot luck afterward. With a very special guest, we shall welcome Greek Captain Stavros of the Greece Fleet trip will be joining as well.

Weather permitting, let’s hope the shattered Thundershowers will skip Point Lookout as they usually do.

PLYC Thursday June 15 Membership Meeting @ 7:30 pm

The winds have changed direction yet again, we had to do some trimming and tweaking.  The meeting will now be hosted by our beloved Bocklet family tonight at 129 Baldwin ave @ 7:30 pm tonight.

 
Never a dull moment, greatly appreciate your patience in our whirlwind of gardens.
 
Huge thank you to Kimball and CJ for all the love and support.  Ellen said is feeling a bit better hopefully she can join us.

I’m disappointed that I, unfortunately, need to postpone hosting the membership meeting for another month…
I apparently was too aggressive in thinking I could pull it off today… a few side effects from yesterdays procedure will keep me down for another day …
 
I believe the original plan for the meeting tonight was at the 
 
Marina Pergola 
 With a 7:30pm meeting start.

Exciting news Past Commodore Ellen K.  Graciously offered to host tomorrow evening PLYV Membership meeting in her beautiful backyard patio & garden located.  Please join us at 7:30 pm, Thursday, June 15th at 329 East Penn St. Long Beach, NY.
 
Seeking recruits to get there a little early and help in any capacity for our Super power Ellen is still a delicate soul that still healing.
 
Enclosed is the agenda and the Final Revised Calendar.  To avoid a similar calendar mishap kindly delete all previous calendars.  
 
FYI, it’s BYOB and snacks.

Condolences to the Kramer family

Kindly note a correction of the funeral mass services time is at 10:45 am. 
Visitation services will be held at Mackens Mortuary in R.V.C on Monday, October 3, 2022 From 4pm – 8pm 
Funeral Mass will be held at St. Agnes Cathedral on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at 10:45 am.
Final resting place: Pinelawn Memorial Park 
Stay dry!

Condolences to the Kramer Family.

Dear PLYC,

I am truly sorry to be the bearers of sad news, our Past Commodore Ellen Kramer’s mother HIldegard E. Emons passed away. She fought valiantly till the end and was amongst her loving family. We are forever grateful that she was a beautiful soul who raised and incredible woman. 
Visitation services will be held at Mackens Mortuary in R.V.C on Monday, October 3, 2022 From 4pm – 8pm 
Funeral Mass will be held at St. Agnes Cathedral on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at 9:45 am.
Final resting place: Pinelawn Memorial Park 
Our deepest sympathies to Ellen and her family. May she Rest In Peace.
