Chris Cahill’s father passed away

Hello PLYC,
Sadly, Chris Cahill father passed away.

Services will be healed today, Friday September 16, from 3:00 pm at 12 Ocean Boulevard, Point Lookout 11569.

The funeral mass will be at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church at 12 noon on Saturday. Following that there will have a reception at the Buoy Bar. All are in Point Lookout.

Ahoy PLYC Captains, Mates, Family and Friends!

Tonight on this nice sunny day….finally good weather.   We are technically having our first PLYC Membership meeting at 7:30 pm in our beautiful Pergola!  With an exciting weekend ahead with the beloved Stars & Strips regatta followed by the PLO Fireworks. 

Enclosed is tonight’s agenda, TLC documents; Intro letter, tax form, donation letter to provide vendors.  If you haven’t done so already, please bring your PLYC membership dues.

Shake Down Race start time correction for Sunday May 29

Ahoy PLYC!
My apologies,  due to the early high tide at 7:24 am, which turns out to be a “low high tide”. The Blue Angels show starts at 10:00 am till 3:00 pm. 
We are correcting the super quick captains meeting to 9:30 am. It is recommended that everyone should leave the dock by 10:00 am. 
Please thank our PLYC Guardian Angel Vice Commodore Paul, who always watches out for all of our boats especially when we aren’t around. He will be heading the Captains Meeting.
If it’s too early… brunch docktails are  always an option.

Shake Down Race is postponed for Sunday

Good morning PLYC!

The Shake Down Race is postponed for Sunday due to the predicted thunderstorms for today.

Vice Commodore Paul will be filling in for Race Commodore Bobby who is away.
For Sunday we are looking at an early start with a quick Captains meeting at 10:00 am, the course will be a tanker run.

Ahoy PLYC Members!
Hope all is well.
As the days get warmer and sunnier, every weekend we see more boats sailing home to our marina.  It’s always so heartwarming seeing the masts in the sky accumulate.
Please welcome our newest arrival a beautiful Jeanneau that Bobby and Glen are restoring.  It will be fun to watch the transformation.  

We need all HANDS ON DECK!  The party is coming up and if you haven’t done so already,  we need everyone to respectfully RSVP for the party by submitting payment as soon as possible.  Our beautiful Social Commodores have been working hard in organizing our fabulous event and we have deadlines to meet.  So please send payment for your memebership dues and especially the party!

Congratulations Hank and Alex!!! Heineken St. Maarten Regatta

Ahoy PLYC!
Please join me in congratulating Alex and Hank, the owner of a beautiful 48ft Swan named Avoacation.  They came in first for the Island Time Division in the annual Heineken St. Maarten Regatta!

It was a brutally challenging race with winds so strong 2 boats got demasted!  Great job to the Avocation team!

Starting off the PLYC 2022 sailing season with a win from our newest member Alex Hummel.

Congratulations again and safe travels home!
