Another end of an era

I learned today that Point Lookout Yacht Club has been replaced. pointlookoutyc.com is now pointlookoutyachtclub.com.. To avoid any additional system maintenance and expense the old system will go off line at the end of this month. I don’t have any information about a messaging system. It’s probably best to go back to an official mailing list. I am sure the board and secretary will have more information shortly.

Elyn Coyle brother

Dear PLYC Sailors,

Please join me in sending our condolences to our very dear Elyn Coyle and her family. Her sweet brother Stephen Flaherty, joined too many angels, he passed away yesterday. 
Steve was a teddy bear of a man who told the corniest jokes, loved his family and friends, and will be missed. 
There will be a memorial service in the coming weeks to celebrate Stephen’s life (details will be shared soon)

Our deepest sympathies to our Amazing Social Commodore Elyn and her family. We are all here for you Elyn, sending you huge hugs and healing.

Hope everyone is keeping toasty warm!
Our busy Social “Elves” Commodores have been busy planning out PLYC Ugly Sweater Christmas Celebration this Friday December 16th at the Fisherman’s Catch at 6:00 pm.
PLYC Fashionistas, please wear your ugliest of ugly Christmas Sweaters…lights and all! Who will challenge last years winners Jan and Butler?   
We are also playing the White Elephant Game!  A PLYC holiday gift exchange!  Bring on your very best Re-Gift that you have gotten to exchange.  Great gift ideas include something funny, naughty, nautical or be really creative and bring something to fuel our boozy bunch.  Because that’s what we do best.
Game rules are: players can choose to either pick an unwrapped gift from the pool or steal a previous player’s gift. Anyone who gets their gift stolen in this way can do the same – choose a new gift or steal from someone else!  Be sneaky, greedy and steal the night away!

Fun and games aside, the best gift that is most cherished is celebrating the holiday season and sharing the love with the PLYC Family!
